CHATEAU WOODS: PART II

"It's easier to go down a hill than up it, but the view is much better at the top. ~ Henry Ward Beecher.

Hi folks, hope you had a nice time last week. I had great fun last week in Chateau woods a lonely resort on a hilltop covered by the tall hills and forest; I concur with Henry, the view is much better at the top. I just spent my time sitting in a lounge chair on my balcony, breathing the cool air, sighting the hills with the background music of insects chirping.
 Balcony view

Garden area

Tea plantations
 Terrace view

Amazing to see nature so close, isn't it?  Tea plantations, coffee plantations, teak, silver oak are the most common plants found in the place.
Camellia sinensis (Tea)

Osbeckia species
Arachis pintoi

Cosmos
Ferns
Arthropods are the most prominent forms here; one can hear the continuous sounds produced by the insects, butterflies are present in more number as the weather was a bit arid. Odonata, flies, bees, wasps are found in good number too.

Shhhhh! the boss is here

Swimming pool

A great dive after a long day of sightseeing

Or continue watching the nature sitting on the poolside lounger

Indoor games
Chill out by playing pool; I being an amateur had fun playing it, it requires sound physics and geometrical skills.
Arcade football
Campfire and Barbecue

Restaurant

Hygienic and ambient restaurant, very good staff, a great chef from Nepal who cooks just like any Malayali. The puttu and kadala curry was deliciously light.

I simply had a great time in Chateau woods, I hope you will add this resort for your bucket list this vacation. See you guys next week with yet another article, till then let me relax in here.. Bye bye..
