Hi guys, welcome to what's around us. Its the peak time for vacation plans in India, I think every Indian family will be planning for a nice holiday destination. Well, I have visited many places in south India, especially Kerala. But this time I will never forget our trip to Chooralmala hills of Wayanad district, Kerala. There is only one renowned resort in Chooralmala hills which is none other than 'Chateau woods'.
Chateau woods is the luxury resort of the district. It is the best place to stay and enjoy with your family. It is situated on the hillside in the 'Attamala' forests and coffee & tea plantations; the forest is also famous by the name Soochipura.
There is a private waterfall named after the place, 'Soochipura falls' and currently it is closed for some reasons. And a zip line adventurous activities in a 3km distance which is also closed temporarily for some reason. We could not see both the spots unluckily but had a great time chilling out in the resort premises itself.
I started by taking some pics of the lawn, there are beautiful ornamental flower plants grown in the lawn attracting vivid butterflies.
Fishing Pond
Fishing pond of about 3 feet depth has lots of local fish; We could catch 4 fishes altogether. I advice not to go for the bait with a sharp nail, which can harm the fish. River terns, red-whiskered bulbul in more number, wagtails, babblers and other birds are common near this pond.
There are some adorable pets which cannot be ignored,
They have a unique behavior of walking towards the guests asking for food.
Geese, roaster, hens and ducks were among the gang who tried to attack me.
Near the forests and plantations, I could hear the calls of white cheeked barbets, wood peckers and variety of calls produced by insects.
