The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear. ~H.P Lovecraft. Hi guys, welcome to What's around us; I was just thinking what to share this week and the very moment I saw a brown coloured, red spotted house gecko crawling on the wall. Seeing that my breathing became rapid, heart started palpitating and I was shivering even after it went out of my sight. Yes. your guess is right, I am afraid of geckos. I am afraid of lizards from the age of 3 as my mother used to tell me. In medical terms the fear of reptiles/ lizards is called herpetophobia. Everyone of us has some or the other weaknesses. My weakness is fear of lizards, likewise many are afraid of certain animals.    Some are afraid of spiders which is termed as arachnophobia. Worm snake Some are afraid of worms is called as vermiphobia. Fear of bees is called as aphidophobia, most of the girls are afraid of cockroaches. The pattern is that if people are afraid of spiders, then they wont be afraid of

When your mood is down, and seeking to find that lost happiness in you, then just look at a flower which is fully bloomed. What a joy to see a flower with a vibrant petals wide open and ready to invite seduce someone. A flower has many importance in our livelihood, may to decorate our interiors or decorate our gardens or to please someone or to offer for their deity.  A flower has its own part in our culture and traditions, but do we know that for what actually a flower is produced? Viewers, in my previous articles and pages I have written about many flowers shows but this time it is different. It is not about a flower show or a photography but it is about for what a flower is meant for.  " A flower blooms for its own joy ", says Oscar Wilde. Lots of things hidden inside this proverb. A flower blooms for its own joy and not for your joy is the verbal meaning.  In a scientific explanation, a flower is modified leaves which helps in the act of reproduction. A flow

Its been more than half an year after me downloading any games and playing it. So I made my mind to play some games last week, I downloaded one game from play store and have started playing again before like a crazy woman. I totally enjoyed first two sessions of games, and for the third time I felt like I am being addicted to this and today  I was just thinking what changes I have made through the past one week? First thing is, I am in my drawing room playing with my cellphone but I cannot hear anyone speaking to me. Second thing, I am letting all my work pending, third and the foremost thing is my game is keeping me more busy than I could be with my work. Uffff, what change did I try to bring out in my life and what am I doing actually???? Am I the only one who is addicted to online games? Or is there a crowd following me?? Ma

Good evening everyone! summer is near, its time to pack all the winter clothes and start using the cotton outfits, drink enough water and intake more fluids, pick up the best sunscreen to get rid of tanning. Our body works slightly different in different seasons; our dressing style, food style, lifestyle everything changes as the seasons changes.  We human beings are heterotherms or warm blooded organisms we do not change our body temperature with change in the external environment. All we do is heat transfer either by conduction or convention or radiations.  But other organisms like lizards, frogs, fish, are poikilotherms or cold blooded which change their body temperature with change in the external environment. Hence special mechanisms should takes place in cold blooded organisms like crocodiles to adjust with the external temperature.  Photography by Michahial S Bangkok, Thailand.    During cold weather, the crocodiles tends to take sun bath to warm up their body

How naturalism can be implemented in our education system?

Greetings to all my viewers. After a long restless day, I just need a break to think how can I change my same old ways of teaching? Teaching is a divine service, when I was a student I dreamt of being a unique teacher so that I can use all my ideas and teach them in innovative ways and turn all the boring classes into the practical sessions and many more. But when I am on the Dias what just stays in my mind is to complete the syllabus and stick on to the exam pattern. Well, syllabus, teaching, exams and results are all essential for a teacher. But somewhere I feel unsatisfied when I am not able to bring out a new ways of teaching.  Somewhere I can hear a cry which is similar to mine as I used to feel while seated in a classroom and listening to a lengthy lecture. So what best can I do to overcome this stigma?  A child at the age of 6 starts with primary education in our country. More than 95 percent of our curriculum relays on the classroom teaching. He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men. In addition to this, there are some practices which could harm the environment and the living organisms habited. I will spill out what just happened in Karighatta, Srirangapatana after celebrating the festival on 14 January 2019.  Karighatta is a hilly place nearby Srirangapatana, it is
